What is knowledge?

Well.. this chain of thought came to my mind from the book "zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance".
A situation: Suppose a human being, who is born without any of his 5 senses... (ok, his sixth sense is also dead.... if that came to your mind). Now, if he lives for 20 years, will he have learned anything? Will he have any knowledge????

Answer 1. No. He wont
My point: You mean to say as his senses are dead, he cant learn anything he cant acquire knowledge. This means to acquire knowledge we need senses. So that means knowledge is a 'thing' that can be sensed. If it is then where is it?????

Answer 2: Yes. He will.
My point: So, even though he is not in contact with this world he has knowledge. Has he learned anything for 20 years? He cant right!!! So what he knows after 20 years, he knew all along. He was born with it.
Well... then.... Are we born with everything and everybit of knowledge? If yes, isnt this notion of self-improvement a sham. Are we everything, we want to be? Do we know everything???

Then... what is the reason for existence of this world? Is it just a pit-stop for our soul's journey?

Frankly speaking... i think there is some hollowness in the question, something is missing... like the question was made for the answer and not vice-versa...

I have to unask the question...

5:32 PM US TIME

I will say something about mirrors today:

Well, they reflect yes...... but people still dont get it. They reflect whats coming onto them. When we see a mirror, it reflects us... reflects our thoughts, out mindset. It shows what we want to see.

Same is with life. Life is a mirror. This world is a reflection of our inner thoughts. That is the reason that people used to say "jeevan ek maya.." Its very simple.... If you see people around you sad, the reason is that in actual you are sad. Haven't you ever noticed that you are happy and walking on street and you see everyone smiling and cheerful. Isnt is surprising that the world is always what we want to see. My father always says "jaisi drishti, waisi srishti...."
Thats the first level of thought..... Hope it has given you an Aha... experience.

Let me take you to second level of thought....

This world is just a thought. It is just a picture which is dynamic and moving, painted by our own soul and filled with seasoned thoughts which ,behind the scenes, is fuelled by our conciousness whose ultimate motive is to feel that "I am alive".
"I am holding my head for what i have ended up writing...."

I think i should stop for today.... phew....
