Beauty and Mind

There are moments when you descend into great depths of consciousness. During these moments you witness true beauty, true life. Millions of stars in sky. Waves on a surface of a lake. Sun behind mountains. An endless road. A green valley.

As soon as you realize your state, i.e. your mind becomes aware, the feeling is lost.
And never to be had again.

Maybe mind does not recognize beauty.

Is it so?

The computer is the greatest all-purpose creativity tool since the pen. It put a music studio, a movie studio, a darkroom and a publishing house on everybody's desk.
The iPad shifts the emphasis from creating content to merely absorbing and manipulating it.
It mutes you, turns you back into a passive consumer of other people's masterpieces.
In that sense, it's a step backward.

Which one are you becoming?

Ultimately, throughout our life, we become either our own worst enemy or our own very best friend.
This love or hate relationship is quietly inside each of us.
This relationship with ourselves is affecting everything that we do, every thought we have and choice of actions we take, or don't take, daily.
It is greatly linked to how we treat and love others in our life.
This relationship with ourselves is always against our self progression or it is for it.
Which one are you becoming?

I dont follow my instincts anymore. Rational mind is taking over slowly....

Just thought of creating a list of free utilities I use....

1. Explorer++: Better explorer experience. Less cluttering in taskbar.
2. Launchy: Easy application launching
3. Process Explorer, WinDirStat: Windows process and system monitoring
4. UltraMon: Utility to manage multiple monitors
5. Console2: Multitab console windows
6. Synergy: Do you want to use same keyboard or mouse across multiple machines.
7. FileZilla: Ftp client

I was on West 4th station looking at the map.
Wish there was a map for me, telling me 'You are here!'

Mind as a filter......

we see what we want to.... not what it is....

isnt it surprising that if i learn about one thing one day.... i start to see it everyday.... at each place... at each moment.

One Friend Principle

Simple thought.....
or maybe a simple principle....
I like to follow.

Wherever I go, to a new client, or some new institution, or long trip, or even a new hangout
I just want to make 'atleast one' friend from that place.

Maybe someone to remind that I was there sometime in my life, not sure..... but still....

Have missed out on a few. :-(

Journey

What is a journey?

A journey is not a trip.
It's not a vacation.
It's a process. A discovery..... Its a process of self-discovery.

A journey brings us face to face with ourselves.
A journey shows us not only the world, but how we fit in it.

Does the person create the journey......
or does the journey create the person?

The journey is life itself.
Where will life take you?

Eliminate this gap!

A thought comes inside, stays, goes through the filter and criteria I have developed over the years, passes it and stays, and then....... just stays there.

Realised it. Working on it. Knowing is half the battle :-)

New Year Resolution

Though I have never believed in this, I will sincerely make one( or a few ) this time.

Finally here it is. Spurt by a comment "ur day is partly for reality and partly for fiction?" and obviously by my lack of commitment towards myself.

From next year, no... from tomorrow, I will spend 2 hrs everyday devoted just to myself. And by that I mean, doing things which I think will be 'beneficial' for me in long run.

Criteria for task to qualify for this:
1. Should not be a luxury.
2. Should not be a day-to-day chore.
3. Should not be related to work.
4. Should qualify as a 3rd-Quadrant activity.

Pursuit

Will this ever end? or is it a parallel to our breaths?
What is the pursuit for?
What if I find that this pursuit is for earthly things? Will I still want to go for it?
What if its hollow when I reach there?

Who will answer these ifs? Is that what this pursuit is for?
Or maybe, the pursuit will answer what will be the answer of these ifs?

Will I see someone when I reach there?
Or will I still be alone?

Like heads down, hands in jacket, swift steps,some song in mind or some voice or some smile
.....through endless corners, through endless nights, through endless streets.....

New!!!!

I officially join the calvin and hobbes club G.R.O.S.S.
I am enrolling for lifetime and will be the biggest supporter of the club ever, and will take this club to the greatest heights which it should reach.

Habits I have lost....

There were a few habits which I would love to acquire again...

1. Reading habit.
2. Coding habit.
3. Gym.
4. Brushing twice a day..... :)


Mind you..... I am trying very hard...
